How to connect the LSD cable correctly after opening the iPod?

okay so i opened the ipod touch 4G to fix my home button i connected the LSD but when i closed it the screen is white ive already reseted it and everthing but the thing is my home button doesnt wor at alll!!!PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
