Vibrate function not working after replacing power cable

Ok, so my power button was not depressing fully, so I purchased a new power button cable and that fixed the problem with the power button. However, in the process I ripped the cable to the headphone jack, the cable that goes to the volume buttons and the vibrate switch is still intact and all that still works. In addition, my vibrate stopped working as well. I noticed that the vibrator has contact leads that connect directly to the body of the device, even though it doesn't appear to be connected to the headphone cable, are these related problems?

Replacing the headphone cable did fix both problems.

I have the exact same problem as you. My power button was not working so I ordered and installed a new Power/Sensor Cable, but in the process tore the same part of the headphone jack cable as you.

The volume and mute switches still work normally, but the vibrator no longer works at all. I have ordered a replacement headphone jack assembly and expect that to fix the problem.

Awesome, let me know if that works so I can fix mine if it does.

Replacing the headphone jack ribbon cable also fixed the vibrate mechanism since the vibrate mechanism receives all of its power from that ribbon. The phone finally works as if it was brand new again.

Yes - there are 2 copper pads to the right of the headphone jack. These are the contact points for the vibrator motor. The headphone jack flex will need replacing.

Right, but does the broken flex cable for the headphone jack have anything to do with the vibrate function?
