Why does my 2ds turn on only when it's charged. Batteries are fine.

A while ago my 2ds suddenly turned off while I was loading a game. I thought it was the battery going bad. so I ordered a new one just in case. But even with the new one it wouldn't turn on at all. It would only turn on while its being charged and acts like everything was fine. But the moment I disconnect the charger with a battery in it, It immediately shuts off and doesn't turn on. I even checked the contacts on the 2ds and there didn't seem to be any kind of corrosion but I sill cleaned it. Could it be something with the software. Because couple weeks prior I modded it. And I remember I was loading Super smash bros clash before it turned off.

With ds>3ds the contacts you mentioned, inside the console, lose their tension over time. Because the battery is pressing against them constantly. This is the usual suspect.

Use a hooked tool, I use a small safety pin that I bent the tip on. Gently tug the tabs, in pairs, out just a little. Like so:

This will restore solid contact between the battery and the console.

@soupboyo Perhaps go back over the jailbreak and double check. Maybe some part didn't go correctly. Especially if it was working fine pre-jailbreak. Maybe a corrupted sd card? Maybe sd card is formatted with the wrong sector size? Maybe sd card's capacity is too high for 3/2ds? Did you use an outdated youtube video hack guide? I'd start with confirming that the sd card is correct, then that the hack was done correctly and completely.
