says “done” even though it didn’t do anything.

Can someone please help me? I am helping a friend with their Maytag washing machine model #: mvw6200kw2 and when I start it, it makes 3 sounds and then says “done” even though it didn’t do anything. I got into diagnostic mode and tested it and the code has “wash” “Rinse/Spin” “Done” and the “Lid Locked” buttons blink once and then “Done” blinks once by itself. I cannot figure out what the code means. Looked for hours on the internet to try to find out what the code means. Please help…

I have a similar problem. maytag mvw6200kw3. First I ran auto diagnostic and it got up to spin. 3 buzzes, no spin. I repaced the actuator and recalibrated. Error code is F3E1. I checked the air hose. I can blow through it. I have not checked continuity yet but I am ready to throw in the towel if its the main board. Already sunk days into it and my wife is !#^&@@ at having to go to the laundry mat. Help from the wise and experienced ones greatly appreciated.

Please confirm the error code?

According to the tech sheet (p/n W11580993) for your mvw6200kw3 model and also the tech sheet (p/n W11416398) for the mvw6200kw2 model linked in the answer below there is no F3 E1 code listed.

I can't find a user manual for the machine so I don't know the order or designation of the LEDs on the machine but hopefully there are also only the 4 LEDs along the top row of the machine (see LED Group 5 and 6 in the tech sheet image below)

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that shows what the codes mean

If you find the problem and it is a part that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful.

Locate the wanted part in the list and you'll find the manufacturer's part number listed with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

Im a tech and I can say 98% of the time it's a short or broken wire, more often than not, near or at the drain pump connection under tub. That white wire makes a loop from the pump to the clutch, lid lock, and back to the board. The board don't see signal coming back and anything past the break doesn't get juice to operate like the clutch engaging for spin, which it won't do without the lid lock anyway.
