Why does only one speaker work?

Only one speaker on my iphone 4 is working. I just got it yesterday. Is both suppose to work ?

taylor Arakaki, just like slavo says, the iPhone 4S only has one bottom speaker. the other part is the mic. Check on herefor more info about your new phone.

iphone 4s works good except when in loud speaker mode, I can hear the person that I have called, but they cannot hear me. Anyone know the fix for this issue? Thanks
