Can I upgrade a MBP logic board?
I have a dead MacBook Pro 2009 edition. I would like to have a MacBook Pro 2010 Logic board in my laptop.
Before getting into that, I'd like to get into a short story.
- I was sitting at work, wanted a mac, found a dead one for $300, got it for $225. I would like the 2010 logic board installed (better graphics, processor, etc). The lady got her HDD wiped clean. The battery works. The RAM should work. Idk. The displays are the same. -
I'm wondering if I can install the Logic board in the 2009 chassis. The HDD works, but has nothing installed in it. :P
I have a macbook pro 13 2009 edition. Looking to get a macbook pro 13 2010 logic board installed. is this possible with a kernal panic?

Looking to replace logic board for a 2010 macbook pro 13 (version) 2.4ghz intel core 2 duo. can I install the 2010 logic board into the 2009 chassis? the hdd is wiped clean. nothing has been installed or formatted just yet.

first off you , have you tried to a smc reset on your dead macbook does it show any power at all . Does it have liquid damage?
