Why won’t my ethernet connect?
So today around 12 pm my wifi went down for like 20 minutes and I fixed everything with my router and my wifi went back up. Now at like 2:30 I turn my pc on and my ethernet won’t work at all. I’ve unplugged and replugged the cable many times and I’ve shut down and restarted my pc many times. It still won’t work, the light doesn’t even show up when I have my pc on but when I shut my pc down it turns back on. So the second I turn my pc on the light turns off. I’m so confused can someone help. Everything is plugged into the router too.

What is the make and model number of the motherboard?
What is the make and model number of the router?
Can you test the router's Ethernet port using another PC to see if it or the Ethernet cable is working OK?
What caused the router to lose WiFi in the first place, was it a power failure?
Have you checked the status of the LAN network adapter in Device Manager in the PC?
