How to stop my iPhone from constantly restarting?
So basically if I shut off my iPhone 3GS 32g manually within seconds it will be turning itself back on again AND proceed to be on for about 2 minutes THEN shut itself off again. This continues repeatedly until I quickly go to settings and reset the iPhone (losing all my personal setting, not my contacts and apps.). This is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. Also, I have never had battery issues and my battery life lasts a long time so I don't believe that is the issue. I have researched this question but most everyone says something similar but Ive never found the same problem and most of the answers for those are the battery.
Its 3 years old. It's never been wet or dropped hard. I'm running 5.0.1 .
I have run out of idea...
PLEASE HELP!

Can you give us a little info on your phone? How old is it? Which iOS are you running? Any water damage or hard drops?

Have you tried going back to iOS 4? iOS 5 is supposed to work with the 3GS but it wasn't exactly designed for use with it. That's unfortunately the only idea I have if there hasnt been any other abuse.
