I opened the surface laptop 3 and removed the cable that connects keyboard and touchpad to the motherboard. I found a red light glowing on the left on magnet connector where the above cable attaches. what does this light indicates ? any information this would be very helpful. thank you

Per following Reddit post, it indicates the motherboard is powered. It should turn off when you disconnect the SSD.
