How do I format my itunes music from my Mac to PC?

I want to transfer the music I've bought over the years on my Dad's laptop which is a Mac but I have a PC. So I need to format the music to PC but I don't know how. If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

The only other thing I would like to those excellent answers is that I agree with both answers. A conversion of the music format is not necessary. On your PC a program like VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ will play most formats and it is free....;-)

Thanks yall but i like using iTunes and nit so much other programs and downloading a program like SUPER sound like bad news. This is my only computer and I cant crash it since I take online classes. These songs arent on my account they are on my Dad's and he doesn't remember the password so transferring them is best. I transferred 2000 song from my friend's PC last week.

Clay Melo, even iTunes should play at least most of the files.

CDs aren't really an option due to there being over 2000 songs and at least a dozen music video and a couple movies...

If you sync all the purchased music to your phone you can transfer it that way... Or check on pc version.. in account that you are logged in, click allow this computer, then see whether your purchases appear in library. I believe you are allowed 5 pc for each iTunes account you have.

If they are purchases on another account you can't download/sync etc without the password or account they were purchased with! You can simply burn a cd from ? File menu. You shouldn't need any other software for music transfers otherwise none of my music CDs would ever play/download to mac and pc. I think you might be overthinking all this...

Clay,

I don't THINK you need to convert the files...my current iTunes files are ".M4A" extensions and Windows Media Player 11 plays them fine. If however you do have a file extension that WMP doesn't like...

I personally like a program called "SUPER" by eRightSoft. It's free and it's pretty much amazing. It's a media file conversion program that convert almost any media file type to another...mpg to 3gp to MP4 to AMV or M4A to WMA to MP3....the list goes on and on.

My two warnings about this program though:

1: their website is nearly impossible to navigate to the DL link...I've downloaded for several computers and each time it takes me almost 10 minutes to get there. (beware the ads, all links should be imbedded in the text, not pictures).

2. SUPER is a BEAST on your system resources and can give older computers a run for their money. To prevent lock ups, I'd suggest that you set the program to run and then leave the computer alone while it does it's thing. Audio files are usually pretty quick, but if you have a LOT of music and time will add up....the caveat, is if you have a newer and pretty fast computer you can probably multitask. I have Window 7 64 bit running i5 @ 2.5 GHz with 4GB of DDR 3 ram, and it handles the multitasking fine.

Hope this helps, good luck.
