It is likely that the board was damaged missing or damaged pads, traces etc. A photo of the board (macro, clear) would help establish that. If so repair IS possible but I'd advise a professional instead at that point. Difficult needs specialized tools. But honestly it looks like you're already at that point. I shouldn't discourage you from making an attempt though, with good eyes a steady hand and the right tools and supplies you can probably do it. But it isn't easy. If the pads or traces are damaged I recommended a pro because with a microscope etc the job is not overwhelming.
