Why is my keyboard not working
I spilled milk on laptop keyboard. Keys are now acting up. I didn’t know what to do and wiped the liquid of the laptop. What should I do? Please respond asap!!!!!!
Well at least milk residue will be easy to identify.
Unplug charger, turn off and leave off and immediately take out the battery as explained in guide below:
HP Spectre 13-3010dx Battery Replacement
This will prevent further damage being done.
The other guides will help with disassembling:
Here’s the url for the HP Service Manual:

If you haven’t done this sort of thing before read and re-read the instructions in the manual several times. Disconnect the ribbon cables very slowly and gently. The IFIXIT guide has very good photos.
Once the keyboard is removed it can be cleaned with 99% pureIsopropyl Alcohol available from electronic supply houses. The 99% is important because you want it to be water and mineral free so no residue is left to short circuits. The commonly sold 70% pure is for disinfecting. Also check the main circuit board for any traces of milk.
Reassemble.
Please ask if unsure of any steps
