My camera won’t turn on

i got my instax mini 8 a few years back, around late 2016? i used it quite a lot over the years but i’ve been busy lately so i didn’t have time to use it. Now, it won’t turn on, the red light on it isn’t on. I put in a new film and batteries but it still won’t work. the batteries i used comes from Daiso so it might be them? I’m not too sure but their batteries seems pretty ok.
