I have a Toshiba 32 inch HD ready TV, the red light is on when I switch it on it turns green but then goes red again. The screen remains black at all time. Is this a common and easy problem to fix or should I just replace it ? It’s in a spare rarely used room.

My answer depends on if you feel adventurous or not. If so take off the back cover and inspect the power supply board(without touching it) Look for the bigger round chimney like things witht he X on them. That X should be flat or slightly indented. if you find one or more were it is not than you can either buy a new board or read the numbers on each faulty one and order them and swap them with a soldering pen.
the board is the easiest but the soldering is the most fun and the cheapest
