iPhone SE 2016 screen now black after replacement

I recently replaced the screen on my 1st gen iPhone SE. Originally it lit up and showed to low battery screen. After removing it later to replace the WIFI antenna the screen no longer lit up at all. The screen has become totally useless. iTunes can still connect to the device and reset it. Is there anyway of fixing the problem?
