Unable to remove F7140 fuse and C7370 with a heat gun.
So I had my Macbook air 2015 suddenly go up in smoke and stop fuctioning. Opened it up to find a NEk AV7 (C7370) tantalum capacitor to have burned up and died.
Seeing this I researched and have found that I would need to replace both the capacitor and the F7140 fuse. So I got around to ordering the fuse and the capacitor, but now that I have arrived at the stage to replace them, I am unable to remove both the fuse and the capacitor from the board no matter what temperature or air flow I use.
Any help regarding this would be much appreciated

To my knowledge no one has worked on this computer except for me, I am using a hot air station (Eruntop 858D). I have tried the use of flux together with the heat to remove it, but to no avail

Can you post a few pics so we can see things. Was this worked on by someone else?
Can you tell us what you are using for heat: make and model.

what you can try is using some low melt solder and an iron on each pad you need to have removed. using low melt will help with lowering the melting point of the solder and hopefully aid in removal. like Dan said are you using an actual heat gun, or a soldering \ hot air station?

@logixal That sounds doable, I will try that tomorrow

Reassembled the laptop because I did not want loose parts around my desk
