Why my laptop 's screen autorotates unprompted and locks keyboard?

When I use my laptop it autorotates itself and the keyboard locks whenever the laptop’s screen autorotates?

Hi,

Try locking the screen in the desired position, i.e. portrait or landscape and check if that resolves the problem

From the Start screen, swipe in from the right edge. When the Windows charms appear, touch Settings charm> Screen icon > Auto-rotate icon.

How can I solve it if my laptop is Windows 10.

Try Settings > System > Display > Rotation Lock

Thanks for the answer, it helped me in troubleshooting the screen rotation issue, however it stills locking the keyboard unprompted eventually.

Greetings.

I think that the keyboard may be locking because it may sense that the screen (tablet part) is disconnected from the laptop part. Hopefully it is a software problem and not hardware

Maybe check for any Settings in Control panel > Keyboard > Keyboard Lock > Auto Lock (if there is such a setting). I don't know your laptop but I've seen it in other brands of 2-in-1 laptops.

To get to Control panel, type "Control Panel" (without the inverted commas) in the search box on the desktop and then click on the Control Panel app that appears

Hi @jayeff

I just checked the interior part of my laptop and I just found out that a connector was partially loosen, specifically the one that connects the battery with most devices such as keyboard, sensors, LEDs, touchscreen, etc. I reconnect it and made sure it doesn't loose again and the unprompted screen rotation and keyboard lock finally stopped indeed.

Thanks you for all the suggestions given, I appreciate them a lot.

Greetings.
