iPhone guide rail flex cable broken

A narrow 1 inch flex cable with only connections being a screw thru an eyelet at each end, oriented on edge running from below the rear cameras around the cameras just inside the corner of the phone to the top rail screwing into the top rail- is it a ground or something? Mine is broken in 2, will it affect function of something? I found this when taking phone apart for display and back case replacement. Only problems I am aware of was 1.) no ear speaker (replacing it now) and camera display was steady clear for a moment then jiggling and blurry the next moment, it would remain blurry and undulating until I switch to potrait or other mode when it would steady up for a few seconds then go undulating again.
