MacBook sometimes don't recognizing hard drive(s)
Hi!
I bought a faulty Macbook Pro 2012 13’ and it has a weird problem. It can boot normally, and when it does everything works. However, sometimes when it starts it only shows a blank white screen and the hard drive don’t show up when I start with option key. I even tried to boot from the opticaddy and it’s the same there. So it’s seem unlikely that the problem should be a faulty hard drive cable.. The previous owner said that the computer boots normally after a while when the componets have cooled down, and he seems right about that.
I’ve tried to install a new Mac OS on one of the hard drives, but it got stuck multiple times during the installation so in the end I couldn’t finish it.
Can it be something else than a faulty logic board? I could of course add cooling paste and clean the inside, but I’m not sure it would matter? I’ve tried to reset SMC and NVRAM.
Thanks!
