Hi there,
Would I cause any kind of damage by briefly connecting an iPhone 7 Lightning Connector Assembly into my iPhone 6? I know it cannot fit into the frame. I just want to briefly connect the part and then connect it to the computer. It appears it would be able to fit, but I am unsure.

With that kind of observation, try to steer away from doing DIY repairs in general.
Different size and even orientation of connectors, how do you plan to fit them?

I wasn’t planning on trying it myself right away, but I at least wanted to get word from someone who knows their stuff and perhaps tried something like that before. I suppose it was just a desperate post with trying to figure out what’s wrong with my phone. I totally get what you are saying though, und will definitely steer clear of doing anything like that.
