MacBook showing no signs of life
My MacBook stopped working within a year of owning it brand new. One day it just randomly stopped working. The charger doesn’t light up (I’ve tested another charger and same thing) it doesn’t chime, and it shows nothing at all on the screen. When I got it looked at by someone at Apple, they handed me a part that they called the “mother board” and said that it needed to be replaced. My issue is, the part they handed me was the SSD card. I know a bit about lab tops and their components and the reason I brought it to Apple was because I’m stumped and they were no help. I’ve taken the laptop apart and put the ssd card back in and tried to trouble shoot. Malfunctioning ssd cards can make screens go black but there would still be signs of life, right? My ideas on possible issues is either the cpu, power supply, or it very well could be the ssd but I am not entirely sure. I have a hard time believing that the power supply would go within a year of barely using it and it being brand new. I don’t want to spend a ton on a part if it is not the correct one. But it’s time to take this MacBook and finally do something about it. Anything helps!
