Device acting wild when charge reaches 75%

When this machine hits about 75% battery charge, the machine will black screen, flashes a wild blue screen(almost looks like failed GPU screen on 2011 MBP), then will flash the folder with question mark.

Unplugging the machine, then turning it on will allow boot into the user system.

Then upon plugging the machine back in, operation of the machine is slower..?

Seems to me like a potential failed logic board.. but I am not certain and would like some other thoughts. I have tried an SMC and PRAM reset… the wild behavior is still there.
