Samsung UE75RU7100KXXU No Power, Flashing LED
Hi I purchased this 18 month ago, so its out of warranty, I was watching the TV and the screen had what I can only describe as snow, then it went blank with sound initially then nothing and the LED started flashing.
I took the rear panel off and examined the PSU but there was no sign of swelling on any capacitors, so I went ahead and bought a new PSU anyhow and sadly its the same, you plug it in and the LED just flashes, no backlights… nothing. Is there a way to test if it is the LEDs or Mainboard? any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you unplug the main board, from the PSU board the LED strips should light up. Alternatively you can check voltages on the connector to the backlight to see if you have the correct stable voltages, which are usually written next to the connector.
