Half of my games freeze when they are read?

Hey!

I recently bought a Gamecube off of a seller on eBay. The seller said the system was working fine, but I ran into issues with it the other day. Some of my games, like Mario Sunshine, TTYD, and Melee all work fine without any problems, but my other half of games seem to be read and then freeze at the loading screens.

Super Monkey Ball 2: Stuck at the “Presented by SEGA” screen, doesn’t play any sound.

Luigi’s Mansion: Will load to the title screen, but when the intro cinematic plays after a while, the picture freezes. The audio continues to play without issue.

Mario Party 7: Reads the disc then is just stuck at a black screen, also doesn’t play any sound.

I’ve tried booting these games up with no controllers or memory cards inserted, doesn’t work. Pressing the reset button while they are frozen does nothing. I’m pretty stuck here, I haven’t really found this specific problem anywhere else online. Thank you for reading.
