Asus Screw Measurement Problem
So I’ve been servicing my laptop for about two years and I’m starting to worry about my screws being slowly stripped. I wanted to get replacement screws, but Asus won’t supply it to me and the European/American stores won’t ship/shipping is ridiculously expensive for such small orders. I’m trying to get replacement screws locally but I’m not sure which screws to get, since the screws listed can be quite confusing.
Here’s an example:
Asus SCREW M2*10L (4.5,0.8) (K) T5
Does anyone understand what it means? M2 is 2mm diameter, 10L I’m assuming is the length, T5 is Torx 5. What are (4.5, 0.8) and (K)?
Here’s another example:
Asus SCREW M2*3L (4.5,0.8) (K)+H #0
What’s +H #0?
Here’s one more example for good measure:
Asus SCREW M2*3L (K) B-ZN,NY #1
What’s B-ZN,NY #1?
The screws listed are here:
https://www.asusparts.eu/en/asus/noteboo...
It would be great if someone can translate all that into regular metric measurements.
Thank you.

Hi,
I think that B-Zn indicates the colour and the material of the screw, i.e. Black - Zinc. Try a magnet and see if they stick. If they do they're not zinc or maybe they're just zinc plated ;-)
I thought that I understood what (4.5,0.8) meant in two of your examples - screw head size and thickness of head but not really sure
As for the others I have no idea except maybe the #0 and #1 might indicate screwdriver size as they indicate for another that it is a T5 - torx #5. H = Hex perhaps IDK
