Power shuts off intermittently during a cycle

my power will shut off intermitently usually during the spin cycle. If I bang the front of the washer sometimes it will come back on again. Sometimes the spin cycle doesn’t completely drain when this happens and the cloths are soaked.

Hi,

What is the model number of the washer?

Just verifying that the power turns off i.e. no indication on control panel of any power and not that the machine just stops operating?

Hi,

Since you can make it happen when you bang the machine, it seems as though there may be a loose connection, which given that the problem is random then it may be occurring due to the vibrations caused by the machine operating.

I can only suggest that you disconnect the power from the washer and then access the control board to inspect the wiring from the power cord up to the board and also any harness cables that plug into the board, for loose connections etc. Also if the wires are crimped i.e. have crimped lug connectors on them, and are not screwed down onto a terminal, gently pull the wire from the back of the lug connector to see if it moves in the connector etc.

Unfortunately I cannot find a wiring diagram for your model but here are the parts diagrams that may help as they show where everything fits together, mechanically anyway.
