My Xbox One console powers on, but won’t stay on and the HDMI...
So, yesterday, as of typing this, I took apart my Xbox One console because the wi-fi wouldn’t work, as in it wouldn’t give me a choice to connect to any, none would show up in the connect page, so I took it apart to try and see if something was disconnected. I followed steps on YouTube as it was my first time taking apart this console, and I followed all the steps to take it apart and then put it back together, but once it was all put back together, I plugged it in and the LED for the power lit up so I thought all was good, but then I plugged in the HDMI and it didn’t connect to the TV. Since I just plugged it in, I figured it needed time to start up. This was not the case. The console powered off shortly after and I turned it on again because I thought I brushed up against the button. But when I was across the room, it turned off. That’s when I realized something was wrong. So my questions are…
- I took it apart because no WiFi’s would appear to allow me to connect. What is the actual reason for this? Because I’m not entirely sure.
- Why did the HDMI not work when I turned it on? Was it because of what the Xbox was doing with the shutting off? Or did I mess up something with the HDMI?
- Why is my Xbox turning off by itself? Did I mess up something with the ribbon cable, or the power area itself?
Please let me know what is going on with my Xbox.
Update (10/06/2020)
UPDATE: I took it back apart, blowed all the dust out with a hair dryer, and blow dryer the fan and it is now able to power on and connect with HDMI, but I still have the WiFi problem, which I’m wondering is the WiFi/Bluetooth card? If so, let me know if that’s the reason.
