Accidently sprayed Bug Liquid in Radio

I have a insignia NS-BBBT20 bluetooth radio and i accidently sprayed bug liquid in the hole where the cd goes does my radio have to dryout till tommorrow?

Hi @gregy108 ,

Do not turn on the radio and then disconnect the power (and also remove the batteries if installed) to minimize any potential problems from occurring.

The spray may leave a conductive residue (I don’t know if it will or not but play it safe) so the radio will have to be disassembled and the spray residue needs to be cleaned away using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores). Also if it is coating the laser lens this will prevent the CD’s from being read properly when they’re inserted, so it will have to be gently cleaned as well.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a teardown guide for the radio online but here’s a video that shows the internal components so at least you have an idea what it may look like inside.
