I recently dropped my iPhone in a hot cup of coffee:-(. I dried it out and everything seems to be working. One problem though, the back light is out. Any help would be appreciated.

Reset all settings
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information, such as your contacts and calendars, and media, such as your songs and videos, are not deleted.
Erase all content and settings
Choose General > Reset and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”
All your information and media are deleted. You must sync iPhone with your computer to restore contacts, songs, videos, and other information and media.
Reset the keyboard dictionary
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
You add words to the keyboard dictionary by rejecting words iPhone suggests as you type. Tap a word to reject the correction and add the word to the keyboard dictionary. Resetting the keyboard dictionary erases all words you’ve added.
Reset Network Settings
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.

I've never known a reset to fix this problem.
rab everything but the backlight is working. It costs nothing to try my way. You didn't even offer a fix. And you got another up vote, amazing.
I've seen/heard this problem across iPods too many times to count, it's always the logic board. Plus, it's obviously a hardware issue, so a software fix won't work.

That's usually a logic board problem, which unfortunately, is very difficult and expensive to replace, often not worthwhile. You may want to try replacing the display, but I doubt it would help you.

I tried everything even changed LCD. did not help. it is not the cable problem. i restore the iPhone using the itune, but i did not reset this way. i will try tonight. i have heared that it would needs a full front replacement.
