Otherwise seems to run normally, but dies when unplugged from charger. Problem persists after battery replacement. I’ve reset SMC and tested with multiple chargers. Charger light is green and doesn’t switch to amber. Battery icon on menu bar shows charging symbol but remains at 0%. Coconut battery says current charge is 0 and full charge capacity is 0.

After sitting plugged in for a day, it’s now working fine! It seems like if you’ve replaced a totally dead battery, the machine might need a long time charging to recalibrate the new one, even if you’ve reset the SMC.

This sounds like you have a damaged charging logic on the logic board. This often happens with knockoff chargers!
