Hotpoint 3C32 (new) stop after a few minutes

Good morning, I recently purchased a Hotpoint HFO 3C32 dishwasher.

The surprise was yesterday when I mounted it and I tried to see if it works. I connected everything to be connected, I added salt and water according to the manual.

I tried to start a self cleaning program, select the program, start ... pull the water, do something else there then drain the water and in 5 minutes (approximately) the message End appears on the display. It has absolutely no error code, nothing else... no lights on, nothing, neither when I select the program nor when that End appears. I want to mention that I tried all the programs and it does everything. Start, pull the water ... then take it out and that End appears.

Did I do something wrong? Did anything else need to be done before first use? Do I have to go to something in the settings? I have no idea ... if anyone knows what they can have.

Hi,

According to the user manual the self clean program should take 50 minutes not 5 minutes

You should not have to do anything different than what you do when using the other programs when using the self clean program, as the cleaning action, is basically just a program that uses high temperature water to clean the machine with no dishes inside.

If all the other programs work OK i.e. water heats OK, dishes are cleaned and dry at the end of the program and the programs take the required amount of time as shown in the manual, then there may be a problem with just that one program.

Since it is a recent purchase (is it less than 12 months?), the dishwasher should still be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (guarantee). Check the warranty statement that should have come with the dishwasher, as to what you have to do to get it repaired under the warranty.

The dishwasher is new, first use and have 9 programs in total and do this for all washing programs. I select program and press play. He pulls the water, does something else inside, takes it out and stops with the message End, nothing else is displayed on the screen.

Do I have to do anything else for the first use? I don't think the water heats up. Just draw water and after a drain..I think, it takes about 5 minutes in any program, then the message End is displayed.

Hi @Gaby Gabii ,

Just verifying that the stoppers and retainers that were on the racks for shipment have been removed

Try disconnecting the power from the dishwasher and then open the dishwasher door and press and hold the On/Off button for 30 seconds and then release the button.

Reconnect and turn on the power to the dishwasher and try starting a program again. Perhaps choose the Express program as this only 30 minutes.

This is only to check if the Control board has been reset.

if it is still no good get it fixed under warranty

I hope this helps somebody at some point as I've just managed to solve this issue. It was down to the drain pipe! It MUST have a minimum incline of 40cm before dropping down into the drain. I had to extend my exterior drain pipe higher up to achieve this. I think the maximum incline was 80cm, I don't know why this effects the machine so much but that's the solution. No error messages were shown on the panel etc.
