Can I download GTA V on mac somehow?

Hi!

I was wondering if there is any way that I can download GTA V from Epic Games to a MacBook Pro? I doesn’t let me do that in the Epic Games store. I also have a Lenovo computer (it is very slow) so maybe there is some way I can download it on the Lenovo and transfer it to the Mac?

Thank you

Just download on any Windows PC, once you get it, you keep it forever.

Worry about Mac later.

Thank you for your answer. Although I know that the GTA file on my Windows PC will be too big and it will lag a lot because the PC is pretty old.

You first need Windows on your Mac! Here's a good guide How to play GTA 5 on Mac: System requirements, where to download and more

Do keep in mind these games can kill your system as the Mac laptops just don't have the best cooling and if you have an older one the dedicated GPU's have there limits.

@danj It barely runs on a OEM 7570 1GB with a i7-3770 for me. I have to keep the graphics settings down and limit the resolution. It requires so much VRAM to run right, it maxes out the 1GB VRAM and pulls 512MB of system RAM - just to run. It would choke on a Mac GPU.

The difference is I have a 560Ti I can drop in if/when I kill it, but I need a 500W power supply so I can afford to risk a low spec desktop GPU. The 3770 handles it just fine.

Older releases (primarily III, Vice City and San Andreas) will run fine on a Mac because they are older and the modern Intel HD/Iris graphics are years newer then the actual games so they can handle the load without risking the Mac being killed. However, IV and V are a different beast - you need a GPU for those releases due to the graphical load they put on the system.

I can barely get it running on an i7-3770 XPS with the OEM Radeon 7570 (1GB Dell OEM) - which is essentially a OEM only 6570 with Win8.1/8GB RAM. The GPU doesn’t have enough VRAM and the VBIOS on the card needs to call for system RAM to help it out - 512MB of supporting system RAM to be exact. I also need to cut the resolution down a lot to get it just under the 1,536MB of available video memory after it pulls the system RAM to even allow it to load.

You need an eGPU or a system designed to handle the load for V.
