What is this piece?
can anyone tell me what this piece is and where it goes? I found it running around inside the case of my late 2009 imac 27 while I was replacing the graphics card.
Any help is appreciated.

Not to worry! That is an alignment pin for the display assembly which you snapped off from the case.
