What’s wrong with my display? Random Vertical lines.
Hello, My macbook pro for some reason randomly developed vertical lines on the screen. However they aren’t persistent, rather they come and go? I didn’t spill any liquid but I cleaned my keyboard with alcohol and cotton swabs but i used very little liquid. Also the screen was fine for about an hour after i cleaned it. It started doing this as I was cleaning my hard disk and uninstalling applications. Any help would be appreciated! I also plugged it into my TV and it displayed just fine.

could be a number of things
1. bad lcd cable
2 display has been water damaged
or the logic board on the display has gone bad
if the come and goo it pushes me more towards the cable but ive seen simailar issues on both

Can you post a picture or two so we can see it iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法.
A common issue I've seen in this series is a bang or drop along the top edge which damages the display. Or, screen cleaner dripping down into the T-CON board or cable connector within the lid.

@danj Hi Dan, I have attached photos, the lines come and go repeatedly and one after the other. Please take look and tell me if I should buy a new screen or just the cable?

@safegerg - mmm... This maybe something very different! Can you plug in an external monitor to see if the problem shows up on it.
