Hi, just picked up a cheap iPhone 6s that doesn’t turn on. I can only see 1 issue with it but i don’t know what the kissing part is or if it’s repairable. Anybody know what/ how to fix this please? There is usually a plate here but it’s gone, and I’m guessing that is why it won’t power on.

The component missing is an inductor on the main power rail. Unless you removed this yourself I would say your phone has a power rail short probably VCC_MAIN or possibly a charging problem.
Obviously someone has been trying to diagnose the problem. You will need a multimeter and some board view software to continue with getting this phone to boot.

need a better picture of the position on the board...can assist but there are afew bended corners on this board
