Optical Drive is not working

I bought new Macbook Pro 13". But Optical Drive is not working. CD is entering into the drive but the drive is not pulling it. And there is no any sound of drive even if I pass reject button. Seems there is no power of Optical Drive. Is it hardware problem or software?

Here's where to contact Apple World-Wide for warranty work. Ask them to send you a shipping box. The usual turnaround time is four days. Try to stay away from the Apple Authorized Service Centers unless Apple has approved the repair directly over the phone and given you a service number.

If warrany go for it

Otherwise its common issue

You can try opening it up and checking the cable connection

But apple cdroms are known to fail

Waaranty go for it. But I am far from USA and there is no service center here. What I can to do for solving this issue? I called to Russian apple center they advise me some actions which finished without any positive result. And they also advise me to bring macbook to the nearst service center.

If it is under warranty talk to Apple and send it off to them. You can ship it to them, so it is no problem wherever you live. If there are no service centers in your country they might pay for shipping to the USA. Just call them and see what they say :)
