3 Now What? MPB Won't Turn On (despite SMC reset)
I’m trying to troubleshoot a 2017 MacBook Pro (Model A1708) that won’t power on. It belongs to a young friend who’s a college student. She assures me that it hasn’t been dropped nor had any water damage.
So far I’ve tried:
- charging the device using a different charging cable (that works on other MBPs) by both of the MBP’s ports, and;
- resetting the SMC.
The machine still doesn’t startup. I don’t hear any sound or feel any vibration that suggests that the machine is doing anything when I try to start it up.
Suggestions?
