Strange artifact (wire shadow?)

Dear Ifixit Experts, can someone tell me what this may be?

This one is today, March 3. An orange dot is now visible that was not there before.

The pictures don’t really do justice but it looks like a shadow of a coiled wire that starts at about 1 inch from the bottom left border corner. Should I be worried?

Clearly something came undone!

Your options here are a bit of a toss-up. Leaving it alone in my mind is a visual distraction. Opening the system up to get to the area is a bit of work Apple Thunderbolt Display LCD Replacement and then you still need to take the display assembly apart to get to the backlight bar which is the area in question. The last option is replacing the display assembly which is costly.

Thank you Dan, I appreciate your reply. I looked through the teardown to see what it could be, and the left side only has a speaker and a PSU board, and no coiled wires that would look remotely similar - unless it is a transformer coil, but I don’t think the display would work if that came loose. Visual distraction is not too big of a problem (as compared with loosing a display, anyhow), I just wonder why it is even visible and whether it poses any danger.

The image is of something inside the display assembly. Within the assembly is a void between the back side of the LCD panel and the backlight sheets to the metal case which acts as a reflector so the full area of the panel get the light from the bottom edge mounted LED's.

I'm suspecting the LED strip has become loose or one of the wires going to it.
