Why does my screen look so distorted? How should I fix it?

I was just using my ipad air 2 and it randomly turned thermal? it's never been dropped so badly (that i know of) and the colour distorted when the device was in my hands. i left it alone and now ig has green and pink fuzziness and then it started to look thermal and negative, then some pictures had a massive green glow?? i went to YouTube to find help but when i pressed the home button, the comments from YouTube were faintly on the homepage screen?? please help!!
