What can cause the digitizer to not work

i acquired a Nintendo switch with a non functioning digitizer, i have replaced the digitizer but it still dosent work i do not know the history of it (ebay) but i dont see any signs of water damage etc i was wondering if anyone knows where the switches digitizer is fed from and where the signal back is dealt with, i was considering replacing the board with the gamecart on as this is where the digitizer plugs in and i noticed it has a chip on it however from what i can online see this chip controls charging but does it also power the digitizer? i also noticed one of the legs has a component soldered further down the trace, it appears to be on a trace to ground, i dont work with much surface mount soldering and i didn’t have my meter to hand is this a fuse that could have failed? any advice would be appreciated or if anyone has a schematic
