Why is my Visual land elite 10 quad SLOW AND SLUGGISH!

everything i try to do takes a long time. why is my tablet is so slow and sluggish!!! a snail would reach the effil tower b4 this thing would respond! hangouts is/never open….it never responds it always shuts down….this tablet if awful!!! sorry. i tried.
