No service after housing replacement?

Hey there. Just did a housing replacement. Everything works brilliantly, but the phone just says no service when I put a SIM in. Everything else is fine.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Is this an original housing or an aftermarket one? The antennas are embedded into the housing so a poor quality replacement housing will potentially cause issues. The other possibility is that the screws are mismatched. Double check your work by following this guide.

After you have eliminated antennae or network locks as the possible culprit, searching issues on the iPhone 6 are usually related to the baseband IC. The baseband IC is very sensitive, just like the Touch IC's on the 6 Plus; it also suffers from poor quality traces and pads.

Go to your phone’s dialing keypad and dial *#06#. You should see the IMEI displayed.

If the IMEI is not displayed, the Baseband IC has to be reballed and two small copper traces (U1/V1) have to be rebuilt and solidified.

Thanks, will try those. The thing I noticed is that some of the logic board was actually unclipped, and I couldn't clip it back on. https://imgur.com/a/gNe2RjN

Also, does it matter if the antenna interconnect is not properly connected? Mine was a bit bent so I didn't fit it properly.

Do you mean this?

That is the 5GHz antenna. Normally there are four small connectors on the logic board (and likewise on the flex).

Yes!! That is it. Is this the issue?

I should have pointed out it's the 5GHz WiFi antenna. This has nothing to do with your SIM card or cellular service.
