Soap got into my Mac and now it doesnt charge or turn on anymore

A bag of Soap leaked in my Backpack, and the charger side(left) of my mac bock was entirely sunk in the soap (1-2cm), even though it was in a seperate bag. Now after i dried it and tried to turn it on or charge it, it neither turns on or charges (The LED of the T Style Charger doesnt turn on at all). Is there anything I can try or I should do ? The reason it doesnt turn on might be because I did not charge it for a week.

At this point you need to open the system to inspect the internals for any soap residue. Using distilled water (not tap!) and some cotton swabs to clean out what you find.

I’m sure your MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Mid 2012-Early 2013) MagSafe 2 DC-In Board needs replacing but the logic board it plugs into needs a good check.

can i also use isopropyl alcohol instead of destilled water?

さんによる

Soap is water soluble, while low quality isopropyl alcohol has more water in it than the better grades (85% or better) it also has other junk in it as well which can damage your system. Tap water from your facet likewise has other stuff in the water that will also hurt your system!

So... Distilled water is the best to use here!

Your local store or pharmacy should have it, besides its cheaper than a bottle of isopropyl alcohol!

THe thing is I already ahve a 99.9% solution of isopropyl alcohol taht i could use

The fats within the soap will get dissolved but it won't clean things that effectively What is Soap? The issue is when the fat is converted (saponify) then they are more dissolvable with water.
