Keys not sitting flat after cleaning
I recently received a late 2013 MacBook Pro that had something sticky spilled under the keyboard. I removed each key individually and cleaned both the keys and the scissor mechanism with isopropyl alcohol. This seemed to make the keys feel like normal again, but there are a few keys that aren’t sitting perfectly flat like they were before.
It’s a bit difficult to see in photos, but it’s much more apparent in real life. Here’s a photo of the left command key, where one of the corners is a bit higher than everything else:
I’ve tried swapping keycaps and switches around, but that hasn’t seemed to solve this - the issue appears to be specific to those certain locations on the keyboard. Is there anything else I can do? My main concern is that this is going to lead to delimitation on this display because those keys are sticking up slightly higher than normal.
Thanks!
