My iPhone 5s is stuck on the red battery screen but at the same time shows white square and vertical lines.
It refuses to go beyond that screen. Putting it into DFU mode was a non helper as wel.
I am unable to determine whether I should either replace the battery, screen, logic board or all of them.
Has anyone ever seen this problem before? What solution did you implement?

Start with a screen replacement. The distortion you see on the screen is LCD related and will be fixed from a screen replacement. Some types of LCD damage can also pull additional power, preventing the device from charging normally.
If you continue to have charging issues after the screen is replaced, try a replacement battery. With the age of this device, it is common to see battery failure as well.
