Broken Door Nikon F100

My Nikon F100 has a broken film door latch, which is a fairly common problem with this model. Unfortunately, it broke AFTER Nikon stopped servicing it’s film cameras. I can’t seem to find a reasonably priced replacement part online or a good step by step tutorial for replacement (I’m sure I can figure it out without a tutorial, but watching someone else first would help ease anxiety of dismantling my favorite camera). Has anyone encountered this situation before, and what was your solution? I could always just use gaffer tape too hold it closed, but that is a less than ideal solution. I’ve read a few articles of people using 3D printers to create new locks, that is a thought as well?
