Why is my tv keeping restarting itself every 5 seconds with no picture

When I plug the tv in, it keeps trying to turn on and after about a 5 second initialize, it makes a ring sounds and repeats the cycle. the remote is completely inoperateable in this state and the tv buttons the same. The only way to stop it is to unplug it and when you plug back in it just keeps repeating. Prior to this issue, I would have issues with it dropping signal and when I did get it to function, picture distortion (red, green, blue, black balance off/ shadowed shapes)

jws69rt72 this “(red, green, blue, black balance off/ shadowed shapes)” could be a bad main board as well as a bad panel. Verify that your TV is a Samsung LN-T5265F.

Disconnect every input to your TV (cable box, sat box, and every other input source). Unplug the TV. Hold the power button down for about 1 min or so. Then plug the TV in and connect one input source (preferable local like DVD, BR or game console) and try to turn your TV on. LEt us know. If that does not work you will need to remove the back from your TV and check the boards. Look for obviously damage (carred, missing etc., components) Post some good pictures of your board with your question so that we can see what you see. iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法

Disconnect the mainboard from the power board and see if the TV’s backlight comes on (you can see the backlight through the vent holes on the back of the panel). Let us know what you get.

Solution offered no change in problem. I am going to take apart and post any obvious pictures of problems.

To bad but at least you know that it is hardware related vs. firmware issues amongst components. You will need a multimeter to check things. Your TV is a Samsung LN-T5265F....?

Yes, the problem is the NT802 component. Lifting the power supply up I seen where the board and traces were darkened. When I flipped it back I seen Just a bit of darkening but wouldn't have noticed it just initial look at. I tried to upload a couple pics but couldn't get the site to work with phone . Also pulled inputs and found my HDMI issue, again darkened connectors. Just a observation, SW0752BE coil looks a bit odd. Its counter part SW0930BE looks uniform while other looks like copper winding shifted around. Board numbers are BN44-00198A (power) and Pearl BN41-00975C (2008- 05-18) (input). Not sure on part cost , leaning towards buying new unit (not Samsung)

WE'd have to see what you see to verify your suspicion. remember that all of the TV's are starting to be mediocre at best when it comes to longevity. I would at least price out the cost for replacements and see if that makes sense from an economical aspect.
