Proximity Sensor doesn't work even after replacement

Hello everyone, I purchased an S8 with a not working LCD and had a slightly cracked LCD from before to put on it and have a working device. Trouble is, the proximity sensor is not working, neither in calls or in the test menu. Light sensor and LED notification light work fine. The strange part is that I purchased a new proximity sensor part and it still behaves in the same way. As if the motherboard does not want to detect there is a proximity sensor in there. Anyone had a similar experience?
