Shuffle was washed with laundry. now doesn't work

I have been using my iPod Shuffle Gen 1 as a jump drive for the past 2 years and was wondering if I can fix it. I accidently washed the shuffle with my laundry. I can store files on the device, itunes recognizes the device but it doesn't seem to charge. I press the battery indicator and the light doesn't come on.

It seems to be just the battery. Any clues? The description of the fix says very difficult for the battery. Any helpful ideas?

I can play music through itunes. I figured its the battery. I will give it a try.

Sounds like it's just a bad battery, it's a bit of a difficult repair, but you can do it, the step by step guides are very helpful.

I think that if it can still connect to iTunes then it is probably the battery. If you put music on it and kepp it on charge, can you listen to the music? If so, change the battery, if not it could be worse.

My iPod Shuffle Gen just like louis's it can't work right now.

I have no ideal to do with it.

Bye the way,I am in taipei now, where can I get the repair just for fixing the battery or I have to give up my iPod Shuffle Gen.
