Is my 2017 MBP included with a slightly longer display flex cable?
In some forums there were people who said that Apple had corrected the flexgate problem by lengthening the flex display cable slightly in the 2017 MBP whose manufacturing date was in mid-2018, the same as in the MBP 2018/2019.
I don't know if the issue is true or not, and because I'm curious, I finally opened my 2017 MBP (normal condition), to see how the flex display cable works and just check the cable's condition ...
and this is what I found ...
the question is, is this the unit with the display cable slightly extended? because I have tried to open the lid to the fullest, but I do not see the cable under stress and do not touch the display board.
Update (09/17/2019)
This is the date of manufacture of my unit, which I saw in the battery application

Here's the extended warranty program: 13-inch MacBook Pro Display Backlight Service Program
You may need to ask for a warranty exception if your system is encountering this. Don't take no as the answer ask to speak to the manager and keep going! Some have had to fire off an email to big Tim to get it taken care of.
BUT! You need to have a failure! Until you have a problem Apple won't alter your system.

The warranty program only applies to MBP 2016, does not apply to 2017 models

Others have had the cable replaced when it has failed.
Again, you need to press them for a Warranty Exception! But only after the cable as failed.

This is such a joke. My 2017 has the exact same problem.
